On January 31, 2025, The Advanced Railway Infrastructure, Innovation and Systems Engineering (ARIISE), in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, hosted the 10th Workshop of the German-Thai Railway Engineering Association (GTRA) under the theme “Challenges in Railway Infrastructure” This event as part of the series on Railway Infrastructure Development, Planning, and Management. The morning session featured expert lectures from various organizations, including Chulalongkorn University, GERB, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), and Vossloh, held at TrueLab, Chulalongkorn University. In the afternoon, seminar participants undertook a technical site visit to the construction site of the MRT Purple Line, offering valuable insights into contemporary railway infrastructure development.

Chulalongkorn University is one of the co-founders of the GTRA, aiming to foster collaboration in railway engineering with the industry sectors in both Thailand and Germany. The association seeks to promote cooperation, facilitate technology exchange, and advance the development of railway infrastructure in Thailand through innovation and sustainable growth.
